TWO movies, even? Guillermo del Toro is directing with Peter Jackson as the writer?
Are the dwarves and elves going to be little people? Are they going to emphasize Gandalf's pirate-like behavior and make his flake-outs super dramatic? Will they cast Steven Colbert as Bear-Man for comedic irony?
OH NO! SPOILERS! Cate Blanchett is in this movie and I don't think she's pulling a Bob Dylan. Code red, people, there may be a female in this story after all!

Dude, it's going to be so awesome. Between this, the last Harry Potter movie (in two parts!) and the AVATAR sequels, the forthcoming decade is going to be epic.
Cate Blanchett is in it because the Hobbit will adapt both the book "The Hobbit" but also the events that take place in the background, which will help explain Gandalf's mysterious disappearances. It's epic because that means we get more Cate Blanchett as Lady Galadriel (one of my favorite parts of LotR) and Hugo Weaving as Elrond.

WTF, the last Harry Potter will be in two parts? ARE YOU SERIOUS? Someone give me a lighter and some pinecones.

I guess it's worth noting now that the only work of fantasy that I've ever really liked is Harry Potter and the Zelda Nintendo games.
